Suez Environment and General Electric an International Cooperation Agreement for the Co-development of Innovative Solutions in the Field of ‘Smart Water’ to Address the Growing Needs of Cities All Over the World

Jean-Louis Chaussade, CEO of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT, Steve Bolze, CEO of GE Energy, Power & Water, and Erik Udstuen, Vice President, Software & Services for GE Intelligent Platforms have signed a technology and commercial cooperation agreement for the development of new “Intelligent Water” solutions for cities.

This non-exclusive and renewable 2-year agreement also includes the cooperation of the two groups in R&D and innovation for the development of new technological solutions for cities, to help them meet new demands related to growing urbanization and water stress.

Through this partnership, which brings together a world leader in the management of thewater cycle and a world leader in water, energy and intelligent network technologies, SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT and GE will roll out new solutions for flow management systems and water networks, initially in France and China.

At the signing of this partnership, Jean-Louis Chaussade states: “This agreement, which pools the international expertise of SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT in water and the water, energy and intelligent network technologies developed by GE, will help us develop differentiating offers to provide cities with high-performance, modern technological solutions for flows and water networks that are adapted to the challenges of growing urbanization.
