The Model BP20CI-PS is a 20-slot power and bus segmented ISA backplane. The Model BP19FP-PS is a 19-slot power and bus segmented ISA/PCI backplane. Both are designed for use with SBS' Model ALM-100 environmental status monitor to provide system monitoring for multiple fault tolerant systems within one enclosure. They are ideal, alone or integrated with the Model ALM-100, for a variety of mission critical applications such as computer telephony, military, industrial manufacturing, and remote data acquisition. The BP20CI-PS is a 20-slot power and bus segmented ISA PICMG backplane. It is configured primarily as two 10-slot segments but can be configured into any combination of 5-slot segments (5/5/10, 10/5/5, or 5/5/5/5). The power switch and power sequencing control is fully segmented and configurable in 5-slot groups. The BP19FP-PS, a 19-slot dual power segmented PCI/ISA PICMG backplane, has fixed dual segmentation with 4-ISA, 1-CPU, and 5-PCI slots on the left segment and 3-ISA, 1-CPU, and 5-PCI slots on the right segment. Both fixed segments provide individual power switching. The BP20CI-PS supports ±5V and ±12V power control while the BP19FP-PS supports ±5V, ±12V, and +3.3V power switching. Power to the ISA and PCI sockets as well as to the PCI-to-PCI bridge chips is routed through state-of-the-art low switched-on resistance transistors that allow each segment to be powered on/off individually. The transistors also provide power sequencing at system power-on. There is a 4-pin drive power connector and a 2-pin CPU chip fan connector for each power segment of the BP20CI-PS. The BP19FP-PS has two 4-pin drive power connectors and one 2-pin CPU chip fan connector for each power segment. This allows both the drives and the fans to be powered on/off with their associated bus segment for easy maintenance and integration of one segment without interrupting operation of the other segment. A watchdog timer and +5V power good monitor are built into every segment of each backplanes. An alarm status monitor port is built into the leftmost segment allowing the CPU in that segment to monitor the environmental alarm status from SBS' Model ALM-100.
