PC·MIP is a high performance, high density mezzanine that utilizes the PCI bus as the logical interface. PC·MIP is the smallest open architecture mezzanine (47 x 90 mm) available.     The PRO2 features processor speeds up to 333 MHz, up to 128 MB of EDO DRAM, and up to 72 MB of Flash Disk-on-Chip, all in a single VMEbus slot. The PRO2 is part of a product family of Socket 7-based VME processor (K6 or Pentium MMX) boards designed for flexibility to meet application specific requirements. The VMEbus interface is implemented using Tundra's Universe II VMEbus Interface Controller. It provides a full VME64 interface including master, slave, interrupter, interrupt handler, and system controller functions. In addition, the PRO2 includes hardware byte swapping capabilities. Drive interfaces for the PRO2 include an Enhanced IDE interface with bus-mastering capability and a floppy controller with DMA capability. The IDE and floppy interface signals, along with a serial port (COM1), are available through the VMEbus P2 for ease of connection with SBS Embedded Computers' VMEbus drive modules or with other external drive assemblies. Front panel I/O includes a serial port (COM2), parallel port (LPT1), and a combined mouse-keyboard port. A field upgradeable, flash-based, AT-compliant plug-and-play ROM BIOS is also provided. IBM PC/AT and VMEbus compatible, the PRO2 supports a wide variety of off-the-shelf software packages developed for the PC architecture.
