Condor Engineering Extends Family of High-Density ARINC 429 Interfaces for PMC

CEI-830 doubles ARINC channel density, adds IRIG support and microsecond time-tagging; an ideal solution for test & embedded ARINC 429 databus applications

Santa Barbara, CA – February 6, 2004 Condor Engineering, a leading provider of military and commercial avionics databus solutions, today announced that it has extended its line of high-performance, high-density PMC modules for ARINC 429 applications. The new CEI-830 interface complements the existing CEI-820 PMC module, increasing the number of ARINC 429 channels to 16 receive and 16 transmit in a single PMC slot. The CEI-830 PMC module and provides complete, integrated databus functionality for ARINC 429, ARINC 575 and other 2-wire, 32-bit avionics protocols. The interface supports maximum data throughput on all channels while providing on-board message scheduling, label filtering, multiple buffering options, micro-second time-tagging and error injection/detection. Options include ruggedization, extended operating temperatures, conductive cooling and integrated IRIG B receiver/generator. IRIG B AM and DC level input signals can be used for time-tagging and the IRIG B DC output can be used to synchronize multiple boards.
